I would just like to say that my son George has had two great seasons on Jack, finished nearer last then first, but both of them have had a great time. He is moving on to a 'faster' pony next season but if it hadn't been for Jack he wouldn't be making this next step up. So regarding all the comments made there is a place for the hairy hunting pony in pony racing, it is all about learing how to ride and judge a race, so does it really matter what they are riding as long as the kids have fun.
Just one other comment regarding an earlier post, Jack, a true hunting pony, is no more likely to have a heart attack then any of the other ponies racing.
