Posted by Amy Racina My new book, "Angels in the Wilderness: The True Story of One Woman's Survival Against all Odds" tells how I hung on, dragging myself along with my hands for three days and nights, and was finally heard by a passing hiker. Airlifted out 24 hours later, dangling by two straps high above the ravine where I had fallen, I was rushed to the ER, only hours before I would have been dead. Find my book on amazon.com or ask at your local independant bookseller. My website is www.AngelsInTheWilderness. Read my book, then tell me what you think!

While solo hiking in California's Sierra Nevada Mountains, the ground suddenly gave way beneath me, and I plumetted 60 feet onto solid rock. Suprisingly, I was still alive. But how to stay that way? Both legs were broken in several places each, and I was utterly alone in the most remote area of King's Canyon National Park.
