I'm going west to east because I'm starting very early (May 10). I understand the snowpack in the oplympics might be a little more manageable than that of the Rockies during may. Now, as to wildfires, I should reach eastern Wa around mid to late July, which is close to the same time a thruhiker might be there if they started in the Rockies, after the snowmelt. So I guess what i'm getting at is, aren't we all going to be concerned about wildfires in eastern WA? Justin you're thruhiking right? When are you starting? I'll keep my eyes and ears peeled.
