I had bilateral S-GAP reconstruction in August. Unfortunately I had Flap failure on one side but it was repaired with stacked DIEP and is doing great--however the other side has an open wound and large area (over 6 in) of fat necrosis. Two PS have told me I'd be better off waiting-- working to heal the wound and see how the necrosis softens up. A Wound specialist and another PS told me to get the necrosis out and close the wound. I am interested in your take on whether to move forward of wait a while. Thanks for any advice...
