At 57 I was diagnosed with HER2+ bilater breast cancer. A year after my AC Chemo, Taxol/Herseptin, double mastectomy and CMF Chemo I tried to reconstruct. My healing after the expander implants was slow but steady, however, about 10 weeks in I developed an infection and both expanders had to be removed. Is there hope to try reconstruction again?
