Dear Dr. DellaCroce,
I’m planning a nipple reconstruction at your center and I’m not really clear on the procedure. I’ve read that you use the extra skin left over during stage 1 to reconstruct the nipple? By using this method, is there a chance for the nipple itself to flatten out over time? If, yes, is there anything that could be done to prevent this from happening so that additional surgeries can be avoided?
Is it possible to have only nipple reconstruction during stage 2 and no liposuction, is this a common request or you recommend some lipo? My body hasn't really changed since stage 1, I’m just trying to loose weight on my own and I really fear lipo side effect. I read that if you do gain weight it will go to other places that haven't been a problem before, and that really scares me.
Thank you for all your help and for being here for us.
