I don't like nipples made from grafts from the thigh for that and a number of other reasons. So, short answer is not to have a nipple made with that technique to avoid that concern. I prefer to make the nipple prominence with the skin of the reconstruction itself and then pigment it with permanent "makeup" (aka tattoo). That being said, it is also possible to transfer skin that grows fine hairs if a delayed reconstruction is done resulting in addition of a skin patch to the reconstructed breast. This may be easily handled with any hair removal method but it is generally best to avoid inclusion of hair bearing skin the the design of the breast whenever possible.
