Sorry if this sounds extremely dumb... But sometimes when I look at flap reconstruction pix, it looks like there was a big mound of flesh attached, where you can fully see around in a circular or oval form where it was sewn on, often making up the whole breast (I'm assuming this is called the "flap"). However, other pix I have seen you can't see this at all, it actually looks more like maybe there was one incision on the breast(and I'm now totally guessing here), and possibly the tissue from the donor site was placed inside??? Hence, just trying to figure out why that is? And I guess how to be the best candidate for the latter circumstance...
