Dottie,
Since you are an actual patient of my practice and are recovering from recent surgery, I recommend you call my office to discuss these issues directly because the 3rd parties contributing advice, although well intentioned, are unlikely to know your exact situation and aren't treating you as your physician. There are potential liability issues with respect to giving or receiving specific medical advice from unknown parties over the internet and I want everyone to benefit from this board without concern over those matters. I hope everyone understands.
