Dr. D.
Long delays in getting back to folks who call or e-mail the Center are not atypical, unfortunately. It's been discussed on the FORCE website on a number of occasions. Those of us who've been so fortunate to be put back together under your gifted hands just tell the gals to persevere, as it's so worth it. But we've always figured the docs were probably unaware of the problem of e-mails and phone calls not being returned, sometimes for weeks at a time. Given your response to Jose, that does seem to be the case. Just wanted you to know that it seems to be a systemic problem, and is especially confusing for gals as the website says all contacts will be responded to promptly. This is absolutely the only "fly in the ointment" in everything else that is absolutely top notch about the care at the Center. As I know you are totally aware, making the initial decision to come to NOLA for recon or to have a PBM is so difficult and quite a leap of faith. We take it, and then wait on pins and needles for a response. Waiting several days can seem like forever, and weeks are forever and forever. We start to doubt our decision and it can be a rather torturous period. So glad you're now aware of the problem and I just wanted you to know it's not unusual. Thanks again for all you do for us! We love ya!
