As a side note to my previous posting, my affected breast feels tight and oftentimes tender......nothing I can't live with, but nevertheless I'm always aware that it's there (unlike my other breast). Otherwise, I feel good. It's difficult to decide to feel bad (with DIEP procedure and recup.), in order to gain peace of mind, but most everyone I've read about and talked to, say results are well worth it. The minor peri-areolar scar from my left implant, doesn't impede palpation at all. Could I expect the same (no hardness to impede palpation) after the DIEP procedure? Thanks much.
