That's merely stripping away her freedom. Although under Ah Poon's influence she becomes a stronger person, Sheung Wah still has that oppression imprinted in her heart. Her marriage with Ah Ngau becomes detrimental because she is oppressed by the fact that if she confronts his feeling he would leave her. Strong and tough as she may seems, insecure and fragile she really is. And the thing is, she doesn't know who to hate but Ah Poon and almost blamed Ah Poon for the twists and turns in her life only because Ah Poon is the one who make her able to observe her own life being tied up in Sung tea plantation. But I pitied her not because of her situation. I pitied Sheung Wah because she was fooled by her own instinct. Sheung Wah tried so hard to escape her situation, yet, effort fails only to result that she doesn't need to try that hard to escape, because if she would just be herself and she would succeed. And finally, at the end she had realized that. : 2. Which character overcame the most From Um Jun Jai to Fong Yau Wai. There it goes. From a quail to a man. We meet Yau Wai as a typical countryside's Mama's boy. Everything that he does needs Wai Ma's authorization. He cries head over heels when his girlfriend gets married and couldn't do anything about it to keep her. And then the day he meets that b###hy San Dei bride-to-be Ah Poon, the quail is becoming history. To the very latest episodes, Yau Wai acts by his own will. And goodness, he can argues. : 3. Which character have the most Yiu Jung. Poor guy. Orphan, lost of love, lost of career...hence, lost of innocence. Very unfair circumstances. In a way he is pitiful, but he has a mixture of good and evil it's hard to differentiate but to conclude his wrongdoings is due to his circumstances. Despite that, he returns to be a decent person, but still has to suffer with solitude. : 4. Do you think Ah Poon and Yau Wai Need I say more? Yes, at least a longer kiss. : 5. Did Sheung Wah do the right thing Hard to say, her heart is already conflicted, how can she control other conflicts beyond her reach?! Then again, because she is oppressed with a happiness she seems to be contended with, she fears to risk that, thus tolerates Ah Ngau. She believes that 'lang chi' would resumes. It's neither wrong nor right, but it depends on the circumstance of each person. Perhaps what Sheung Wah did was best in her heart. If that it is, so be it. : 6. Do you think Yiu Jung and Yiu Jo Life is inherently not fair, so even if I say they don't deserve their endings, who am I to say then. I can only say that each has a path settled for him/her. What is fair to me is unfair for others. So I let whatever interpretations fit them be it as it may. : 7. If you can be one of the character Ah Poon, of course. Even if I don't like Maggie Cheung, I would still choose to be Ah Poon. She give people hopes, open the doors for them, and best of all, b###h on people that she dislikes without having to worry about keeping a good name or whether it is approriate. She's an icon of liberalism and make it alright in a conservative society. I wouldn't change much about her but to be more tough when arguing, fight even if she has to. I know I would.
: 1. Which character is the most pitiful
: and why?
: changes in personality and why?
Ha ha ha! On the search for water, he say to Ah Poon: "I'm not a quail anymore...I'm trying to change." Yau Wai is the only character who has the most changes in personality. Ah Poon is fixed with her principles. Ah Ngau and Sheung Wah realize things but their personality remains. Same thing goes to Dai Dong Ka and the rest.
: unfair circumstances and why?
: should have a kissing scene
: (besides the head one)?
: by tolerating Ah Ngau's behavior
: after marriage?
: deserves their ending? And what do
: you think happened to Yiu Jo in
: the end (FYI, only Sik Chun is
: released from prison in advance
: for good behavior)
: in the story, who would you be,
: and why? Would you do the same
: thing that they do, or would you
: change it?
