What I usually do in these situations -- for example with a message that arrives here in Spanish (the only other language I know) -- is that I first write the message in English (the main language of this page) but then also the put a full duplicate copy again underneath it, in Spanish. Maybe that is what you want to do with communications on this page, for Italian-speakers/readers??? that would be fine with me! ALSO -- letting Italian readers know that, as part of the new update to this website (being fully announced in detail, next month), is a site-summary page in Italian (and Portuguese) -- both done BY Ayres (THANK YOU!), as well as one now also in Japanese (THANKS to Hagiwara Hiroko!)... these are available NOW, so see: more announcements re: site upgrades will be coming soon, but in the meantime I thought that maybe the Italian page would help people in Italy right now! Thanks again for all your interest in PhotoTherapy and Therapeutic Photography ! Now I beg you to post another different message (a new thread) about your past experiences "Using Therapeutic Photography with Psychiatric Communities and with Youth-Elder Relationships"... I know you have had much success with these projects and I am sure that other readers of this Group page would find it interesting and useful to learn more about what you have done... So PLEASE send us another posting with that Thread title, and share with others the information which you have already shared with me. I think they would enjoy -- and also benefit from -- reading about your experiences! Judy

Posted by Judy Weiser, Administrator I myself do not have any "network" in Italy, other than the names and email addresses of people who have posted to this Discussion Group page -- but I would love to be able to share information if you DO find a group that wants this... here are the names of those who are in messages on other places on this page (maybe use the search box for "Italy" and maybe there are others too??): Ayres Marques Pinto (not a therapist but still VERY excited by Therapeutic Photography, especially in psychiatric communities): brasilemarche@libero.it Morena (whose message is a title maybe you did not see -- it is named "A Message for mrs. weiser) -- she is a psychology student doing a thesis on this... kiccoduva@yahoo.it Giuseppe, who is a photographer working with psychiatric patients: ste.lomb@virgilio.it (his message is titled "readings") Now you might hear of some psychologists in Rome, who seem to have written a book many years ago that appears to be "inventing" PhotoTherapy ("FotoTerapia") themselves -- but: I have a copy of this book now and am consulting a Lawyer because on the basis of facts which I consider very reliable, I believe that the Giusti & Proietti book ("Fototerapia e Diario Clinico") is a plagiarism of my book ("PhotoTherapy Techniques: Exploring the Secrets of Personal Snapshots and Family Albums") which was published two years earlier. So I have engaged a Lawyer and commenced legal action. The writs were served in Italy in July, and the Court date has been set for October in Milan. Now, back to your message and continuing with my reply: And maybe you will send me a small paragraph about yourself and your work, to add to the page "Who is Doing What, Where". If you do that, I will put it there, and maybe other visitors to the site will see it and contact you... Finally, about how to find articles in the old issues of the Journal Phototherapy -- I do not know anyone in Italy who has these issues, but I do sell them from the PhotoTherapy Centre, and if there are only a few articles you need, I could maybe just photocopy those for you (unless you want the entire set). Please email to me directly at my own email address (jweiser@phototherapy-centre.com) and we can discuss this further. If you know which articles you are most interested to read, please include that information in your message. Thanks again for your interest and I hope people will respond to your message here! ONE LAST IDEA -- please now go back to the main page of the Discussion Group and start a NEW "thread" by posting your questions under a NEW title such as: "I want to find other people in Italy interested in PhotoTherapy and VideoTherapy too". I suggest this because I almost did not see your message so far down on the page... I do not mind if you post it "new" again. Posted by Carmine Parrella thank you so much for your reply, you gave me so good and "gold" information.I will try to have contact with everybody.For all concern the old iussues of journal phototherapy i will ask the scientific library of my center to buy them, it could take some time........i see that on one hand is good to publish article about phothoterapht everywhere, but this means that it is so difficoult to find them.I would suggest every publish something abouth phototherapy could comunicate it to you and how to get the issue.For example i found so much interesting some tesis of some student but it is impossible to find most of them.Actually i am collaborating with Dr. oliviero Rossi it is the head of the school in Gestalt therapy in Rome and he is trying to organize the first national italian congress in video and phototherapy, he made a very interesting connection beetwin the use of video camera and digital camera in group work and theraphy, he is running a website about this.I told him about you and your book ( i bought from amazon ) and i think he will conctact you.

Are you sure your messages are cancelled??? I ask this because you have posted several messages to my Discussion Group page and from what I can see in a quick look a few minutes ago, they are ALL still there. Did you perhaps use the title of THIS message to look for your own? Because I have put that title under all messages that Carmine wrote -- because I could not get HIM to do this himself and I did not want people to write him but he never answers because he does not get their message (because they send to his old (wrong) address)... Please look again but this time look for your own name -- I think your messages are still there... Please look again to the Discussion Group webpage -- and do this: On the main page, under my introduction paragraphs, you will find a white empty (blank) box that is a "Search" box. Type "Chiara" into that box and then click on the button that is beside it, the button named "Submit". You will be shown a list of every message you have sent to me... I just did this -- and discovered that in addition to your message today, there are also three messages you posted on March 1, and one that you posted a few days ago, on March 8. I am automatically notified whenever a new message is posted on this webpage and I do not remember seeing any notification of another message put there by you, since March 8 -- did you write another one since March 8??? If so then we must find out what happened.... because I did not remove your message! -- and supposedly I am the only one who can do this, so if a more recent message from you has disappeared, then let me know and I will investigate with the hosting company...
