Posted by Liz Aylett The BBC Wales site gives good examples of Digital Storytelling - which I think has lots of mileage in mental health arena.

Dear Una,
I am an Art Therapist (UK HPC State Registered)/Photo Therapist working in NHS Forensic Psychiatry (medium secure unit)in Wales. I was interested to read your posting and questions asked.
The issues surrounding the use of photography, video and audio recording in the NHS (AND ESPECIALLY WITHIN FORENSIC SETTINGS)is an ongoing enquiry/formulation for me. I am amongst few UK art therapists using digital/still photography within art therapy practice, so (with the valuable dialogue/training with Judy W.) I continue to explore, develop and advocate its practice! I would be interested to hear more how your therapy collegues (O.T. and A.T) in London view things.
An aside, but relevant, my guesse is that you are an O.T. Technical Instructor (rather than A.T.)? ask this in relation to either professions Code of Ethics/Guidelines (e.g.BAAT) amongst which, has clear statements about the use of patients art work, photography etc.Your senior colleagues can advise you I imagine.
I am currently exploring within own Trust `Consent and Release Disclaimers` which relates to such practice.
All this said!! you were asking about digital video work...sounds great. A useful link might be www.bbc.co.uk/wales and www.storycenter.org![]()
