Posted by Judy Weiser, Adminstrator After I posted that first reply-message, I finally acquired a copy of the Giusti book "FotoTerapia" that I had suggested you should read (although I had not read it myself at that time). BUT once I read it, I sadly discovered that this other book appears to me to be some major plagiarism of my own book that was published two years earlier. Of course it is difficult to believe such a thing is possible, but... on the basis of facts which I consider very reliable, I believe that the Giusti & Proietti book ("Fototerapia e Diario Clinico") is a plagiarism of my book ("PhotoTherapy Techniques: Exploring the Secrets of Personal Snapshots and Family Albums") which was published two years earlier. So I have engaged a Lawyer and commenced legal action. The writs were served in Italy in July, and the Court date has been set for October in Milan. As more news becomes available (and especially after the case is settled!), I will add postings to the topic thread above on this same webpage, and so please go to that message to see more information as it evolves. The title for that message is: "Legal action re: Plagiarism claim begun against Giusti & Proietti - Court date set for Oct. in Milan" -- and today I will be adding a second posting below it, which has the same information in Italian (see the Italian translation also at the end of this message). Obviously, I regret my earlier recommendation of this book to you -- I should not have done that without reading it first!! ;-) And I would appreciate your sharing this information with everyone you think should have it -- especially those in the PhotoTherapy, Art Therapy, and Psychology communities IN ITALY... I just want to add an update to my reply to your message (immediately above this one in the "thread" you started on this page).
Per questo motivo mi sono rivolta ad un avvocato ed abbiamo avviato un'azione legale. La citazione e' stata depositata in luglio presso il Tribunale di Milano ed e' stata fissata una prima udienza per il mese di ottobre.
Quando avro' maggiori informazioni le pubblichero' su questo sito.
