In 1997 I co-presented at ECArTE, alongside a Music Therapist, a case study on the syzygy of Music and Therapy with a boy with ASD, our conclusion being the the combination far exceeded the two modalities offered individually. Video (VHS in those days) recordings of the sessions were part of the process circularity. The outcome was significant improvement including development of theory of mind and some empathy. When I get time, my to do list includes making this into a powerpoint, but don't hold your breath.
