I am a 4th year undergraduate studying Photography at Napier University.
I am currently in the very early stages of research for my dissertation, which i am perssuing in a photoTherapy direction.
This was probably a very niave assumption for me to make, which i meant with no offence, however after looking over the website I noticed at first glance, most of the people practising this are female.Maybe im mistaken.
I am currently researching Hugh Diamond and also noticed most images were of 'mad' women. As he also used photography as a form of therapy for his patients who were mostly women, I wondered if this had influenced photoTherapy and women in some way to date? Or has PhotoTherapy helped women with mental Health issues more so?
As mentioned I am in the very early stages of research at the moment so all theses thoughts are just thoughts, not fact or evident.
I welcome all information regarding this topic openly.
