Two of the original pioneers were David Krauss and Joel Walker in North America who were both men last time we met and I've been pursuing phototherapy since the late '80s with no effect on my masculinity. However, phototherapy is NOT a profession, its a range of techniques used by professionals from the therapeutic arts, arts therapists, and counsellors to psychologists and psychiatrists. Where the phototherapy family of practices do have a particular voice for women is within feminist discourse, where pioneers like Jo Spence and then Rosy Martin have made contributions that speak more powerfully than purely verbal discourse ever can, and as valuable for men as for women. What is your interest and where are you based?
