Although i have not been formally trained in PhotoTherapy, i am a registered counselling psychologist and make use of this form of healing in my practice based on my study of the technique through Judy Weiser's work. I have found that the Phototherapeutic techniques work well in conjuction with narrative therapy, based on the work of people like Michael White. I am also a photographer and work with people to make images of themselves based on new visions that emerge during our conversations. At present I am working with a group of eleven young rural women from throughout the Eastern Cape, using images that they are making of their lives as the basis of therapy. I am based in East London.
