Posted by Judy Weiser, Administrator I am curious to know what you might be covering in your one-day Seminar -- could you give us a bit of an overview to what you will be doing there? Is it a lecture format or is it experiential (training?) or both, or what?? I ask because I have a list of people there who might want to know about it, once there are a bit more details available. Rather than contacting you back-channel, it might be useful for these discussions to appear here, so that others in the U.K. can know about them also. Also, for those of us who are not in the U.K., could you tell me where "Royal Sunderland Hospital" is located?? that would help! And...., is this a Seminar in the kind of "PhotoTherapy" techniques done in North America (using photos during therapy, to assist the process), or the kind that Jo Spence and Rosy Martin did there re: using photos AS the therapy itself? I guess what I'm asking about is your target audience for your Seminar -- i.e., who is this workshop FOR? (therapists? photographers? etc??) -- and what will happen there? Both topics are good and worth doing Seminars about! -- and of course, either is fine to teach -- but since this word "PhotoTherapy" is used so differently by various people involved, I'm just thinking that it would be very useful for those considering your Seminar, to get a "better picture" of who you are and which kind you will be teaching... Regardless, I'm happy to hear that the subject is being discussed and shared over there!!! Have you made contact yet with Mark Wheeler? He lives near Derby and has a lot of material on file for this field (he came to the PhotoTherapy Centre here many years ago and has a large amount of archives himself). He has posted elsewhere on this Page (use the "Search" box to find those messages) and there's also a paragraph about him on the "Who is Doing What, Where" page of the main PhotoTherapy Website, which is at: http://www.phototherapy-centre.com/widww.htm And he seems to currenly be the main person in the U.K. doing presentations and workshops in PhotoTherapy techniques (for therapists) over there. But of course there may be others, such as yourself, so please let me know if you know other people doing similar things... He has taken training from me and has quite a lot of knowledge and experience in this field, so perhaps you might want to do a bit of networking with him before your event, as he is usually quite willing to assist people with information and guidance (if needed; perhaps you don't need any....). His email address is: Finally, I'm curious if you are the same "Delphine" who posted the message last August to this Discussion Group, about being the photographer who was also getting training in being a therapist? Or are you already a trained/licensed therapist and I'm just getting you confused with someone else?? The name's the same in both messages, but I noticed that the email address given are different, so I'm not sure if both are you!! If so, thanks for continuing to use this Discussion Group to share info -- it's appreciated! Thanks, Judy Weiser, Administrator
