Due to our busy schedule we are not able to properly care of an Airedale Terrier baby named Wishbone. He was born April 2, 2008 with a dilated esophagus and need to be feed in the upright position. He needs to eats from an elevated platform or position, so gravity pulls the food down to his stomach. That is because his esophagus muscles do not move the food down to the stomach by itself. He need to stay seated or standing for up to 30 minutes after eating to allow gravity to pull his food down to the stomach. If not, they he may regulate the food that is in his esophagus and that could cause some food to come up into his lungs. It is possible that he might outgrow this problem, but not likely.
