Posted by Leigh-Ann on 5/11/2007, 4:22 am, in reply to "Re: Disabled kitten" I may be able to help out with the kitten... please send me an email. I'm in Las Vegas. I agree with the previous poster who said that the kitten should stay with its siblings for eight to twelve weeks if possible, although I've got two six week old kittens I could perhaps put it with, if it's healthy, has been dewormed, etc. Also, have you made arrangements to have the mother cat spayed as soon as the babies are weaned? Making sure the mother is fixed, and all the kittens are spayed and neutered is very, very important. I'm just overrun with kittens right now, so we need to make sure we don't end up with more of them! I'd be happy to put you in contact with a free/low-cost spay and neuter program. In any case, email me if you still need a home for the disabled kitten, and I'll see if I can help. I have a "rescue", but I also have a full-time job, and pay all my expenses out of my own pocket. I generally try not to volunteer to take any animals because I end up with enough of them without trying, but this is a unique case and I'll see what I can do. --Previous Message--
