Posted by Tony on 4/13/2007, 10:51 pm, in reply to "Re: FREE: pet steps and wheelchair ramp" Here is a post I replayed to Amanda with,. It may help. I'm sorry I could not do more. Here are some links. http://www.wheelsfordogs.com/ http://wheelsfordogs.com/content/view/2/2/ Here is what I did when I needed a pet wheelchair for Mickey my diciest yellow lab. 2.I posted a wanted add on this forum and every site like this one. ( I got mine from a great Lady on this site)( I also gave Mickey's chair to Storm Werner a Shepperd from this site. 3. Post a wanted message on www.craigslist.org and freecycle.org. 4.You may even want to take plans or a drawling to a VoTech school. The wood shop teacher or metal shop teacher may need a "small project" 5. PULL OUT THE BIG GUNS The last thing I'll ask of you is to give your pet wheel chair to someone in need. I tried to give Mickey's chair to a local needy pet, but gave it to someone on this site. I only asked for the shipping to be covered. --Previous Message--

Tammy the subject to this thread is...FREE: pet steps and wheelchair RAMP.
I do not have the wheelchair anymore.
People do give these away,I did. You just need to keep the faith.
Here are some links to web sites for the "do it yourselfer". There is even one made out of wood that someone may be able to make for her dog.
Now is when you need to "pull" on people's heart strings. You need to tell people the dog's name, It's more personal that way.
I would save this page as it is there home page and I'm sure it will change.
This one has a pet chair made from a human chair.
1. I called everyone I could think of to ask for help or a free chair.
A. Local SPCA
B. Local dog shelter
C. every vet and animal hospital in "the book"
D. There are allot of breed specific rescues to check with on the net.
both of these sights can be posted and searched in your local area.
Go to a local news team and suggest a short inspirational pet story done with your dog. At the end of the "inspirational pet story" ask for help.
Good luck and keep us posted.
