no no no no! Chicago is not the answer. It's too over saturated. Everyone is too busy stabbing each other in the back for that "big" show at The Vic. Move to somewhere where there is a music scene with a particular "sound". Memphis is all the rage these days. As well as Portland OR. Gainesville FL,Minneapolis MN..... Move there and you'll have an easier time making connections. Besides, in bigger cities like Chicago it's harder to make anything new or get a reaction out of people. Because the attitude is "been there, done that". I've been playing in Chicago for years and honestly, it's more hype than anything. Peoria is the exact opposite. No hype but great substance.
