So, how did we get to this point, and what does the future hold. I got in touch with Erin and Dan at Psychospunk productions and this what they had to say. Dan and Erin are a married couple dedicated to bringing life to these Peoria nights. They've been booking shows in and around Peoria for almost a year now and plan on getting bigger and better acts to come around. "We have the resources to make good stuff happen. And as long as their is no shortage of people willing to come out each and every weekend for a show, we have no choice but to work harder." Says promoter Dan Dirst. The shows have been running at a frantic pace. Almost so much that they've called upon other bands and promoters for help. Erin said," That's what makes this scene so viable. That everyone is willing to pitch in and do their part. There are a ton of bands around here, so finding some openers for a touring act is pretty easy. Everyone has been really helpful." Most of the shows that they put on are at Tiamat, but there keeping their eyes peeled for other places to play. "Tiamat is great because they let us pretty much do what we want. There are no fees and it helps get the word out on their business. Hopefully people are stopping by during non-show hours to check out their stock. We've done a couple shows at the Pizza Works, but cramming a hundred kids into a pizza parlo can get rowdy sometimes and we don't wanna be responsible for ####ing shit up." Erin added, " legion halls are cool places to book too, but alot of them require a fee and money is tight as it is. We looked at this one on the south side, but they wanted like a hundred bucks for a hall rental. Why spend money we don't have to? Plus, we try to pay the bands accordingly, so they feel like their hard work is paying off.
