Robert,
Wishful thinking, but I think you're missing the massive conflict of interest that arises when a band member (and studio pimp) like Joel or myself starts reviewing his friend's bands and/or potential/previous studio clients.
Isn't there anyone who goes to shows and listens to local releases that isn't in a band?
