Got a cab to drop us near Bramley Moore. Walking up, seeing the stadium in the distance, the sliver lining against the blue sky, it just felt epic, like a colossus rising, it just felt that we’ve built ‘something’ I can’t describe it. But I got goosebumps walking ever closer toward it.
Getting into the ground, all I wanted to do was to find ‘my stone’ which is a nod to my best friend who passed away 8 years ago, he was like a brother to me. Found it, had a photo taken and sent it to family and his wife and I instantly then was able to relax as it was the one thing I really wanted to do before anything else.
Got to our seats in the North stand upper, and I have to admit, I couldn’t stop smiling! The stadium is everything we’d hoped it would be. Its views of the pitch, amazing. No restrictions! No blurred views! Being able to see the game from all angles, epic.
I thought we dominated large parts of the game, Grealish makes us a better side, KDH was so neat and tidy, and Pickford was again so reliable.
Loved the day. Loved the crowds. Loved being there. I genuinely believe we are building a brighter future, yes there’ll be bumps in the road, times of frustration. But I’ll take this new Everton and a new future, over bullshit Bill, and ‘you’ve had some good times’ any day of the week.
Born, not manufactured. You better fcuking believe it!
COYBs. UTFTs!
