When I was ill we didn't really see many kids who had got through it, so when I went into remission I made a point of going back and visiting Alder Hey for a few hours whenever I was in Liverpool for the match, and it clearly gave a visible lift to both the children and their parents.

Hi all,
As you were all so great last week when I posted about my wife’s cancer diagnosis, I thought I’d update you on what we found out today from the biopsy results.
She has grade 2 lobular breast cancer, thankfully it is not aggressive or one of the rarer cancers so they are optimistic about the treatment and cure.
We feel positive about that as for the past week our minds had been taking us to pretty dark places.
Another mri tomorrow to decide what extent of surgery is needed and then we should begin the journey of beating this fucker.
