Football is way more about luck, mood and momentum than most fans credit it. If you have shit loads of cash your never far from winning. Thats not to say the cash is a guarantee.
Who would you say is in better shape to compete with City?
Spurs....not on the strength of this season
Chelsea...maybe
Arsenal....probably yes for now
Liverpool....you would expect them to have a tough time with a new manager?
Newcastle.....maybe but Utd can outspend them
Villa....see above
I honestly dont think utd have to do much to compete with that lot.
Moyes, van Gaal, Mourinho, Solskjaer and now Ten Hag have failed to turn around their fortunes and they now have a collection of players of various ages and abilities who seem unable to gel as a functional side. They look like they are about to repeat the cycle. Yes, if they get the right manager in and view it as a long-term rebuilding project, they have the potential to recapture former glories but that is a long way off and the fanbase (like most others) is impatient. They're in the same kind of mindset as Liverpool fans in the 90s, thinking they are entitled to win because of what's happened in the past.
from being City's biggest rivals. If I was asked who had the best chance of other city of winning a title. utd would have as good a chance as Arsenal, Liverpool etc.
Not compared to Real Madrid and Barcelona and probably a few more they’re a spent force for the foreseeable future and only going in one direction and it ain’t upwards
Close to his home, huge club (maybe the biggest) and at some point they are going to get it right.
Wherever he goes he is set for life so maybe like you said he goes to a club genuinely competing for the CL but the draw of Man U is a big one. Maybe it's just me. I'd choose them over arsenal, newcastle, chelsea etc. Maybe not city. maybe he goes abroad but I can't see anyone abroad appreciating his value as much. It's probably between city, utd and chelsea.
Don’t give me that “Biggest club in the world BS” they are a joke and getting worse
Gives us another position to chase these last two games.
