I’ve no idea why 14/20 clubs in the league voted for it. It’s disaster for everyone outside of five or six teams.
...if the fuck-ridden PSR rules mean Everton have to sell their best players to Man Utd then that's all there is to it.
But I do seriously hope that we can do what needs to be done without sacrificing Branthwaite… yet, at least.
Barring a mad up-surge in form and achievements next season (European qualification etc.), I think we all know that the likes of Branthwaite will move on sooner rather than later.
Just hope we can keep him around for one more season. I certainly don’t think he’ll be pushing for a move, so it’ll be entirely finances-driven, if at all.
It’s annoying that underperforming over-rated entities like the current Man Utd can still be seen as a good move for excellent young talent. It’s almost as though they don’t deserve to be in for such players given the state of them.
taking advantage of our financial woes to try and drive the £80m valuation down. I'm not sure how much there is in this at this stage but have thought for a while that they may well come in for him. They have had years of chopping and changing in that position and Branthwaite would be an obvious solution - just hope we are already working on a replacement because as much as I hope I am wrong, I don't think we'll hang on to him.
