Highbury, Maine Road and WHL were classic stadiums, as were Upton Park, Filbert Street, The Dell and Roker Park if not maybe quite the same level.
...but it's a really good one. If Sheffield United are mathematically relegated and we are safe, they will be the first team to come to Goodison and play out the match in the full knowledge that it will be their last ever league match at the ground.
I would be surprised if they mark the occasion, but it is another of those weird little moments that will turn into a proper deluge next season when every game will hold some poignancy. I suspect we'll all have poignancy-fatigue by the spring!
Btw, I still can't quite get my head around the final whistle of next seasons last home match. What that will feel like.
of being the first team to know they have played their final league game at Goodison Park. Just letting that sink in. Only 21 top flight games left. It's getting closer and closer to saying goodbye.
