We didn't sneak it. We didn't get lucky calls. We didn't get lucky.
It might not have been 90 minutes of the best of Everton Football Club, but as a collective we won't have many better games this season.
The right players, with the right plan, the right attitude and the deserved result.
No win at home in 14 years to any team is awful not least when it’s your biggest rivals so first off it was great to put that right and with it give a generation of Everton fans, my 8 year old included, a taste of how good it feels and bragging rights.
The nature of the win was one of the highlights. We didn’t scrape a win, we went toe to toe, didn’t show them an ounce of respect, played some good football at times and, has had often been the case this season, carved out a lot of good chances.
As many have said it was very unexpected and so it really is a perfect storm. Derby win, a step close to safety, a big dent in their title hopes.
It was definitely a reward to us fans for some tough times and all credit to Dyche and the players.
