My wife's Irish side of the family are based in Beara, it's a beautiful part of the world, so have driven in/out via all the different routes. Moll's Gap is the other spectacular route between Cork and Kerry, but you have to deal with all the coaches that way. To be fair, these days there are much quicker routes in and out, so we use those old roads much less.
Incidentally, if you're into geocaching, there used to be one right at the top of the Healey pass, spectacular views from where it takes you.

Me and my cousin did a couple of days ago after lots and lots of rain. Visibility was bad but it was spectacular with lots of waterfalls cascading down the rock faces because of the rain.
