He's so "woke" that he even turns up with a bag of shopping for the foodbanks collection whenever he is working at Goodison
I have to say that I have been aware of him for years, but haven't followed his career that closely (or that of any other journo really). As I said, I can only take people as I find them and he's been great with me in the FAB role (as have several other journos I've dealt with thankfully!).
In a rather Partridgean journey he’s gone from very much a man of the patrician Torygraph cloth to be much more attuned to the concerns of the everyday fan even embracing issues one might consider to be ‘woke’. No idea if there’s a conspiracy as such but doubt it’s a coincidence a Murdoch paper has dispensed with one of their more socially conscious reporters.
To be fair, it's an odd move to make the position of Chief Football Writer redundant (although this article does explain the restructuring somewhat) - and the timing is definitely interesting, with the Times posting a big article with Richard Masters the day before lobbying against an independent regulator - something that Henry has spoken out in support of on numerous occasions.
Either way - you can only take people as you find them and he's been immensely helpful, both to me personally, the FAB in general and IMHO Everton fans overall. I think he's been treated pretty shoddily - which is reflected in the tone of his tweet and the response to it.
Hopefully he will be back writing again somewhere soon.

Silly boy spoke up against our points deduction and obviously has paid the price for such behaviour.
