I’m not suggesting for a second that he’s having a good season, but I don’t think he’s getting the help that strikers need.
He’s missed 11-12 chances all season according to Premier League stats. Around half the amount that Haakand, Nunez and Watkins have all missed.
He’s having a shit season, but he’s not getting 5 decent chances per game like those other strikers above.
It's his lack of composure though for me. That chance he had first half today - a perfectly easy chance to put away when he went near post instead across the GK - sums up his decision making.
Beto isn't top class by any means, but he'll get us more goals than Calvert-Lewin will in the run in. The manager cant go on risking our PL status by starting him over Beto.
