Our appeal was successful, therefore justified fighting back. PL will receive flak now.
But the million pound question is:
Assuming Forest get a 6 point deduction this season.
1. Do we get a bigger one, for it being a second offence
2. Do we get the same
3. Do we get a smaller one, given that it relates to part of the same period we’ve already been punished for.
Ideally PL makes a decision that factors in potential appeals. For the integrity of the competition it feels like forest and us should do our utmost to threaten legal action such that the PL deliver a punishment that won’t get appealed.
Finishing the season without knowing the final league table is u fathomable.
But presumably the focus of our appeal was that it was disproportionate.
The focus of our second appeal should be that it’s double jeapordy.
I sincerely hope that the second charge anticipates future appeals and to me it seems that Forest should now get a 6 point deduction and we should get 2, given that we can only be tried on a proportion of the period in question.
