There's no substitute for quality. Sigurdsson's renewal into the player many of us thought we bought is, arguably, the greatest indication of Silva's influence to date. That and his signings of the two Brazilians, who have been excellent when they've played.
We badly needed that win on Saturday, but fair play, we took advantage of the extra man just as we blew it against Bournemouth, so tangible signs of improvement are now there for all to see.
