We did exactly the same in a bar in Estartit, great night followed. nt
You are correct. Now I remember it properly, it was even better - I was listening to the game on the radio and decided, five minutes before the end, that the inevitable was going to happen. So I walked to the bar and on arrival found a wild party going on and the bar full of Everton and Arsenal supporters. A mad night followed and it was the highlights that they showed on tv.
Funny enough I was in Salou with 2 Kopite mates. We couldn't get it live where we where. We followed it by news updates on the newly launched Sky TV. Great news bulletin that last one was when they explained what had happened. Maybe one of the regional stations in the south of Spain got to broadcast it but we didn't see it where we where. That would make sense. Was there a way of getting British telly in Spain back then? It's hard to remember when these things came in. It's nearly 30 years ago. Can you believe that?
About the last game of that season, Absolutely brilliant. Even though I know what happened, I was still on the edge of my seat.
I was in Marbella at the time, watching it in a bar owned by Everton supporters. Long night!
