and the Gylfi transfer saga http://members.boardhost.com/peoplesforum/msg/1518268028.html is not unique. The club has been changing staff / managers / players etc without any clear leadership or direction. Billy liar found the perfect patsy to allow him retain his Chairmanship and have his fingers in the pie.
The big question is all about whether Moshiri has the ability to sort his own mess out and from what I have seen to date, I very much doubt he can. There is oviously cliques inside Goodison with BK, Woods and Elstone all thinking they have a hand on the steering wheel, Moshiri brought in Walsh who in turn obviously influenced him to bring in Allardyce ... who brought in Lee etc and finally you have all the old Evertonians eeking out a living behind the scenes and who think they know whats best. All of that and then you have the outside influences from agents to media and fans, everybody wants an in and has a solution !.
It very interesting to watch the relegation to 7th place pendulum ..... get hammered by a top 6 team and we are doomed, beat a 7th to 20th team and we are flying again. The reality is that there used to be a top six teams, mid-table group and relegation fighters .... now its just top six and the rest are all scrambling for points betwen themselves.
Everton needs to stop peddling nostalgia and clear the decks behind the scenes ...... bye bye Bill, Bob and all those who have haunted the place for years and years. We need a strong leader on and off the pitch .... its up to Moshiri to organise this before July and have his team ready for August, otherwise expect more of the same next season.
