Seriously, agree he's hugely talented but he's not going to be doing it week in week out for us any time in the foreseeable. Ideally, we'd keep him as an impact sub or to bully/unlock packed lower league defences in the cups. Not sure he'd accept that role though, and he doesn't seem like someone who thrives on limited opportunities. Best for all if he moves on I suspect. Hope he comes good somewhere but I suspect he's another VDM/Drenthe (in terms of failing to fulfil potential rather than attitude/'persobal problems'), and ultimately his career is more likely to be a tale of 'could have been' 'talented but never found consistency' etc. just like so many others.
: I watched the first half of the Spanish u21
: game and hes wa shite, at his wasteful
: worst. But he's clearly massively talented.
: Whoever he's playing for for when it finally
: clicks for him, is going to have a monster
: of a player in their team. Pity that wont be
: How many did we have in the u20's team? 4 or
: 5? 2 in the England U21's and the star
: striker and captain of the Spanish u21's.

: Wouldn't have seen that coming nine months
: I'm not sure we saw the best of him. I think
: he's more of a 10 than a wide player but
: neither Martinez nor Koeman gave him any
: time there, despite him having played that
: role for Spain's young sides. One thing I
: definitely don't see him as is the hard
: working, up and down the line type. So it's
: clear he's not gonna fit with Koeman's
: I suspect he'll do well enough back in
: Spain, altho I don't see him breaking into
: the Barca team anytime soon. Not sure the
: Premier League will ever really be a 'good'
: league for his talents tho.
