Fine, he currently has the controlling interest, but the number he has doesn't allow him to mandate a complete buyout and delisting, which - like the Glaziers before him - would enable him to do whatever the heck he pleases with the cash the club generates. And let's not believe Kroenke's in it for sport or success - Arsenal is purely a vehicle for him to make money.
The way he manages his franchises in the US is absolutely the model he's after. Usmanov's shares block him from doing that.
Anyone thinking that isn't the case just needs to ask why has Kroenke continued to buy up available shares as and when they've become available? Makes no difference to the current boardroom makeup - his endgame is full control and delisting.
