Since Pienaar got injured at Pompey we have been without our 2 most (only) creative players
Once results started going against us, confidence gets hit and suddenly no-one wants the ball, no-one is prepared to whip in a free kick for fear of over or under hitting the ball. Its also where the lack of pace starts to hurt because the defence dont have a get out ball over the top
Things will be ok if we can ever get a fully fit front 6 of Pienaar, Rodwell, Felliani, Arteta, Billy with The Yak

: we've been shit. there's no getting away from
: that. Shit at the back, no cohesion or
: creativity in midfield and shot-shy up
: front.
:
: The reasons? We've been without both of the
: centre-backs who were the bedrock of our
: team and our two most skilful midfielders
: are both injured.
:
: The players who've come in to the team are
: not yet settled, are inexperienced, or due
: to the lack of depth of the squad, simply
: not quite up to the mark.
:
: Once the crippling injury list clears, and
: we get a settled defence, we'll be fine. Not
: brilliant - we will still lack pace and
: someone who can hold things together in
: midfield - but back to somewhere near the
: level of last season.
:
: Rodwell and Fellaini may in time step up to
: the latter role but it's tough going for
: both of them at the moment.
:
: It's not too long since we scored 11 goals
: in 3 games and were looking half decent.
: Crisis? This is nowhere near a crisis.
:
: Do others remember the days of Walter Smith
: and Mr. Michael Walker?
