we've been shit. there's no getting away from that. Shit at the back, no cohesion or creativity in midfield and shot-shy up front.
The reasons? We've been without both of the centre-backs who were the bedrock of our team and our two most skilful midfielders are both injured.
The players who've come in to the team are not yet settled, are inexperienced, or due to the lack of depth of the squad, simply not quite up to the mark.
Once the crippling injury list clears, and we get a settled defence, we'll be fine. Not brilliant - we will still lack pace and someone who can hold things together in midfield - but back to somewhere near the level of last season.
Rodwell and Fellaini may in time step up to the latter role but it's tough going for both of them at the moment.
It's not too long since we scored 11 goals in 3 games and were looking half decent. Crisis? This is nowhere near a crisis.
Do others remember the days of Walter Smith and Mr. Michael Walker?
