whether its an individual or several of them or people missing or a combination
sometimes in a team you need a catalyst to gel things, or a leader to spark things
we have neither
we have several out of form players
several new players still finding their feet
and usually end up pinning hope during each match on a 17/18yr old central defender newly adapted to midfield hoping he might bang one in from 30 yards
tonights line up pre game made sense, it was pretty much the best we had, but yobos off form, cahills off form, gosling god love him isnt quite good enough and yaks not fit
hopefully we'll still go through, thing is for all the people saying we shouldnt be in europe or we should give it up, these are tough lessons we need to go through, you dont qualify for the uefa and suddenly dazzle everyone
'We dont have the squad' whinge whinge, do the mighty bate borisov have 30 international players in their squad ?
or half the other teams in the competition
if we ever want to progress in europe uin the next decade, then we need as many european games as we can get, cos its things learnt.
I remember watching liverpool for 3-4 years after the ban, getting bummed out of europe, and then they won the uefa, its experience.
Its bad now, but nights like tonight will benefit the likes of rodwell no end
ok it might end up being for arsenal or uniteds benefit when billy shits his pants and sells but still
and if the uefa is pointless then why bother
we'd be mullered in the champions league
so all we can hope for in the league if europe isnt for us, is 8th - 17th
woop de ####ing do
#### that
I hope we stay in it for as long as possible, if it means in the end we finish 9th and win nothing, so be it
why go out now, to try and get 6th... to then try and go out early next season
tonight was poor bar a few moments
but the best thing by far was Eusebios pre match interview :D
