You mis-represent me. I would love Fernandez to be a top Everton player but there simply hasn`t been any evidence since January that he will be, nor that he fits the bill of the strong defensive midfielder we need to replace Carsley. Spending most of the possible transfer budget on him is therefore a no-brainer.
I do think your abhorrence of Neville and passion for Fernandez hot on the heels of a similar one for AVDM indicates a certain fairy tale romanticism in you.
Sylvester Stallone is not a great goalkeeper in real life.
