pretty much agree but hope there is another cheap gem out there

like Lescott or Cahill. names previously in the hat Howard , Ledley, the kid from Sheff Wed might be worth trying one of them, but at least one top quality player must come in preferably one who can play in midfield and score goals too.
If there is no real investment we could lose the biggest asset the club has.
