Hell-o Paul I am John down in Texas and I too had a Mailer in the early fiftys but I know what happened to mine though some boys in my neighborhood took it and took it apart...never got it back though...A couple of days ago I saw a news report I think on KXAS ch 5 here and a guy in NW Us has built the very same thing and it is in both metal and plastic.Same push-pull like a Mailer but the report says he invented it? And the guy looked our age!
Good luck in your search for a pic I had done a search months ago and found a restorer of mailers that had a photo of them but as we know how things go 'I lost the LINK!!!'
