Re: What happens at a workshop

Hi Andrew |
You have asked me to tell you what goes on at a workshop. I deliberately donít explain what goes on, because the paruretic personality will only find something off-putting, for the wrong reasons, and so will not attend.
Instead I hope you can accept the feedback from some of the 470 or so people who have attended a workshop over the last 13 years. (See our Discussion Board and search on the word Feedback.) The common refrain is that they too were very apprehensive, if not downright scared, that they were quickly put at ease, never had to do anything they did not want to do, and kicked themselves for not attending sooner.
Also everyone there, leaders included, has got paruresis to some degree or other, so even if you donít talk about yourself, you will probably hear others do so and will find yourself saying yes, thatís me too; so I am no different, and they all look normal.
So I hope you can take me on trust: that we put together the workshops in a way that is discreet, and that takes into account the individualís need for a safe environment and an unthreatening process.
Having said all that, I appreciate that there may be specific needs or concerns, so feel free to email me on the support email address the top of this page, and we can take address them appropriately.
Do get back to me on this.
