Yes, I too dream about needing a wee and invariably the toilets in my dreams are filthy, have no doors etc. Bad enough having the problem whilst awake, I can think of better things to dream about! - Re: I get it in my dreams?

Yes ironic that one suffers by day and also at night from "the problem". I also quite frequently dream that I need a pee but just can not find a suitable safe toilet. It is all part of the paruresis experience.

Yes I have these dreams as well. I actually wonder if the dreaming about it actually re-enforces the negative thoughts. I often have more bad experiences in the dreams than in real life and the dreamed experience seems just as "real".
As Martin said it does seem logical that you cannot pee in the dream because you would wet the bed.... so if you dream about needing to pee your brain invents things to make you not do it, like being disturbed, filthy toilet etc. Maybe these dreams are actually at the root of the problem??? - Re: I get it in my dreams?

I used to get that but as i've got older and the problem has improved I now can go in the dream but don't - fortunately- wet the bed - Re: I get it in my dreams?

in fact sometimes my dreams are situated in toilets but the toilets are just incidental so I am not even dreaming about needing to go...they are just always there...obviously a reflection of how my paruresis is always with me even when I am not consciously thinking about it...
