yes, do the workshop mate. It will be the best thing you will do in your life.
Good luck to you it will be a great experience to be with people in similar situations - you seem quite open about what you've been through and I know just admitting these things can be terrifying, but also very therapeutic.
I myself was unable to pee at urinals before my first workshop, and sometimes had trouble in busy toilets, but I have improved way beyond any realistic expectations and I see a light at the end of this long dark tunnel.
Like some people have said - its a social condition, so perhaps worse than some other disabilities, but you are in control of this so you have an opportunity to learn more about the condition and how to manage it. Definitely in my case my social life is much better and I am no longer experiencing that awful feeling of helplessness when you got to pee but cant - I always find a way now and am getting more comfortable in what before would of been nightmare scenarios (big social occasions always filled me with dread, whereas now I take life as it comes).
